Every year the same question lands in a group chat somewhere in Buckinghamshire: where are we going for Christmas? If the answer needs to please a whole office, a table of old friends or three generations of one family, it helps to have a menu that does the deciding for you. That is what our festive set menu is for.
Four courses, one price
The festive set menu at Opuz Aylesbury is four courses of modern Turkish & Mediterranean cooking, with Christmas crackers on arrival.
- Sunday to Thursday: £39.90 per person
- Friday & Saturday: £49.90 per person
Starters are served together, meze-style, so the table shares from the moment you sit down. Mains and desserts are chosen by each guest, which keeps everyone happy without turning the evening into a negotiation.
Cold meze to share
Olives, hummus, beetroot delight, cacik, babaganoush and our smoky pepper dip — the colourful, generous spread that Turkish tables are known for, made for passing around.
Hot meze to share
Crispy borek filled with feta, halloumi, spinach and fresh herbs; grilled, lightly spicy Turkish beef sausage (sujuk); and battered salt and pepper calamari with homemade tartar sauce.
Choice of main
This is where the charcoal grill comes in. Choose from chicken shish, mixed shish, the mixed spicy skewer or Mediterranean wings, all served with salad. There is a 12oz rib-eye steak for an additional £10, sea bass fillets with mashed potato, imam bayildi for vegetarians (vegan on request), a crème chicken sauté with rice, and two burgers — the British wagyu and our battered chicken burger.
Sides can be added for £4.90 a portion.
Choice of dessert
Baklava with Madagascan vanilla ice cream, a classic tiramisu, or a warm sticky toffee pudding to finish the year properly.
Made for groups
The festive menu works for a table of two just as well as a party of two hundred. Office Christmas parties, team lunches, leaving dos that happen to fall in December, family get-togethers — book your group, send us your numbers and any dietary needs, and we will take care of the rest.
For a more private celebration, our mezzanine floor is a completely private area seating up to twenty guests, available for parties of twelve and above.
Vegetarian, vegan and allergies
Vegan options are available on request, and several dishes on the menu are vegetarian. Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements when you book and again when you order — our team will talk you through the options.
